COMPRESS

  • ASME/ANSI Flanges

    • MAWP reduction due to WRC loads on non-radial nozzles
The external axial force and moment terms in the MAWP Reduction Due to External Loads section of Nozzle reports are now correct for tilted, offset, hillside, and perpendicular nozzle orientations. Previously, loads were translated as if the nozzles were radial. [80184]

  • Nozzles

    • External loading due to FEA
Nozzle loads analyzed using FEA are now considered in the following calculations:

      • Nozzle neck minimum thickness check due to combined loading
      • Nozzle MDMT stress ratio due to longitudinal stress
      • MAWP reduction due to external loads on ASME/ANSI flanges
      [80240]

  • Quick Design

    • Quick Design attachment points on cylinders have been improved
When placing components on cylinders using Quick Design, available attachment point spacing is now a function of the cylinder's length; ensuring the entire cylinder is available for component placement. Previously, the attachment point spacing was fixed, potentially excluding the end of the cylinder. [80294]

  • Saddles

    • Saddle bolting slot length per PIP 2024
The slot length for saddle bolt holes is now calculated per the 2024 edition of Process Industry Practices (PIP) VEFV1100, which increased the slot length coefficient from 2.0 to 2.5. [80027]

  • Wind and Seismic

    • Table U-3 incorrect building code deficiency no longer issued
A deficiency stating, “ASME VIII-1, 2025 Edition Table U-3 states that the 2022 edition of ASCE/SEI 7 should be used. Current [wind/seismic] code selection is [Building Code],” is no longer issued in the Deficiencies Summary when a wind and/or seismic code is applied to a Division 1 vessel and is not ASCE 7-22. [80270]

Division 2 2007 Edition and Newer

  • Nozzles

    • Detail 1 JPCM Part 4.5.13.3 calculations
Detail 1 JPCMs are now considered by adjacent jacket nozzles in the Part 4.5.13.3 spacing calculations. [80243]

API Storage Tank

  • API 650

    • Tank dome roof diameters improved in solid model
The tank dome roof component diameter dimensions in API 650 files are now more accurate when exported to solid model. [80213]

    • Top angle details i and j improved in solid model
The top angle geometry for details i and j is now improved when exporting to solid model. [80093]

  • Annex J

    • Tank shell required thickness when Annex S or X combined with Annex J
API 650 tanks of all diameters now have their minimum limit of required shell thicknesses set per Annex S.6(d) or Annex X.6(e) when Annex S or X is active in combination with Annex J. [80323]
